Veteran linebacker Von Miller announced on Sunday via an Instagram post that he’s signing with the Dallas Cowboys.
Miller, 37, stays in the NFC East as he prepares to enter his 15th season. He needs one more sack to leap Terrell Suggs for the eighth-most all-time and four to leap Strahan (141.5) to move into sixth on the all-time sacks list.

The veteran is coming off a solid season with the Washington Commanders. His nine sacks were the most he put up in a single season since 2021, which marked his last season with the Denver Broncos before they traded him to the Los Angeles Rams. Miller spent the first nine-and-a-half seasons of his career with the Broncos after they selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He established himself as one of the premier pass rushers of his generation, putting up double-digit sacks in seven of his first eight years in the league.
After winning Defensive Rookie of the Year and earning Second-Team All-Pro honors, Miller followed it up with an 18-sack Sophomore season in 2012, earning a First-Team All-Pro selection and the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award.
Through his 14 seasons, Miller is a seven-time All-Pro, eight-time Pro Bowler, two-time Super Bowl champion, and Super Bowl MVP (2016), earning a selection to the Hall of Fame All-2010s Team.
Now, following a healthy season with the Commanders in which he played all 17 games, Miller goes back to his home state for possibly his last season.
